A traditional instrument from China, the Guzheng has a history of over 2500 years. Soloist Wei Sun will introduce a program of iconic Chinese music on the Guzheng.

About the musician:
Wei Sun was born in a family of artists and studied Guzheng at an early age. She is a member of the Chinese National Music Association and the International Association of Guzheng. Wei came to the United States in 2016 and has performed at the United Nations, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Webster Hall and the Rubin Museum. In addition to performing traditional Chinese music, Wei Sun also enjoys playing western music on the Guzheng. Reaching across musical borders, she has collaborated with western classical musicians, as well as jazz and rock musicians
