Traveler amongst the most inspired and curious, Louis Arques wanders between prestigious concert halls and popular streets of New York where he moved two years ago. His humanist values and natural ability to bring people together make him a true contemporary artist. With a personality as unusual as radiant, Louis is a sought after and appreciated musical collaborator. Apart from his performance on clarinets, saxophones and vocals, he has taught in French music schools for ten years including the Paris Conservatoire.

Louis plays early music on Von Vittorelli’s replicas of 18th Century clarinets. He is also a frequent New Music collaborator, including composer Elizabeth Hoffman and Mannes American Composer Ensemble.

With the guitarist Richard Boukas he started the Dialogos Brazilian Duo and the Sempre Jacob Choro Octet. He also performs Afro-Cuban music numerous bands including Grupo Irek, Sonido Costeno and Jazz in club venues including Birdland. When he is not on stage, his greatest pleasure is to play music in solo urban performances.

With his friend Daniel Zinn, he started the Empire State Symphony and performed the Mozart Clarinet Concerto for his Master’s degree graduation at the New School, College of Performing Arts.

As a soloist, Vladimir Rumyantsev has performed in the halls of the Moscow Philharmonic, the Rostov-on-Don Philharmonic, the Stavropol Philharmonic, in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and at the Moscow House of Music. He has performed under the baton of such celebrated conductors as Valery Gergiev, Mikhail Khokhlov, Boris Gruzin, Victor Afanasiev, and Alexei Repnikov.
