Praised as “especially impressive” and “a thoughtful, sensitive performer” who "balanced lyrical warmth and crisp clarity” (Tommasini–The New York Times), pianist Zhu Wang was awarded First Prize in the 2020 Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, Gold Medalist at 2024 New Orleans International Piano Competition.
Han Chen has emerged among the new generation of concert pianists as a uniquely fearless performer in a wide variety of musical settings. His program includes the world premier of the piece A Book of Time I which has the audience listen to how the earth's minerals sing. Composed by Lei Liang using X-ray fluorescence analysis of minerals to trace their elemental peaks, the data points were transformed through software into musical harmonies.
Emerging pianist and composer Jake Hart and renowned guitarist John Hart will both perform individual solo sets for an intimate evening of jazz.
